Frightfully Good Times

The start of each year’s Holiday Season is cleverly marked by costumed children of all ages flooding your neighborhood and ringing your doorbell as darkness falls on All Hallows Eve.  Cries of Trick or Treat! fill the chilly air.

Folk Artist Lori Mitchell captures the wit and whimsy of Halloween with her enchanting “stick leg” people – a wonderful collection of silly socked characters with long skinny legs dressed in colorful costumes, each outfitted with a curious expression.  Arrange witches and goblins and ghosts (Oh my!) on Styrofoam risers (ours are from LeMax), add a glittered silhouette background (like our row houses) and Voila! you have a tabletop display that is small enough to sit on a counter in your kitchen or an end table in the family room.

A spirited way to trigger childhood memories for everyone!
