On Dasher and Dancer and …

Prancer and Vixen – Now Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen!  Don’t remember Santa’s Reindeer having so much personality and individual character, but apparently American Folk Artist David Everett had a different vision – and we’re ever so glad he did!  One Reindeer is cuter than the next, each showcasing character traits on their posable antlers – silver stars for Comet, tiny red hearts for Cupid, colored balls for Donner, light bulbs for Blitzen and the cutest red and white polka dot scarf and  hair bow on Vixen.  His whimsical Santa figurines – one with a North Pole sign, the other holding a bucket of Reindeer Feed – just make you want to smile that slow-to-start but ending in a grin from-here-to-there kind of smile.  Everett’s interpretation of Santa and his Reindeer is sophisticated and yet magical, appealing to young and old alike.  The reproductions of his work are “spot on” – especially when you see them placed alongside two of his original creations:  Santa Wrapping Presents and Snow In The Forecast!  There is tangible joy in all of his creations – spread the cheer!
