The Teddy Bear Santa by Susan Brielmann blends two youthful notions – teddy bears and Santa – to create a sophisticated piece of Christmas décor. The weather-beaten cage is filled with shimmering, vintage style trinkets, ornaments and even a teddy bear and doubles as Santa’s torso. Rustic, fraying burlap imprinted with vintage style French labels twists and turns to create a secure wrap and ruffled cape. Typewriter keys spell out Ho Ho on Santa’s leather sash while teddy bears cuddle and climb all over him. His kindly expression speaks volumes. Designed and assembled in the USA, the artist employs local artisans to complete the limited production of her three, 2014 original designs: Teddy Bear Santa, Crown Santa and Birdcage Santa.
